Al is the Maintenance and Project Manager with Rush Homes and has been with Rush since 2002. Al has a class A contractor’s license. He quietly works behind the scenes to keep our properties in tip-top shape and our tenants comfortable. Al is personally invested in Rush Homes’ mission. In 1990, Al’s brother John was in a car accident that left him paralyzed. John lived independently in an accessible home until it was destroyed by a fire in 2005. Al was able to rebuild that house over a year while his brother stayed in a facility. The doctors had given John ten years to live, but he lived twenty. Al took care of him all those years until John passed away in 2011. John’s house continues to serve others by providing housing for those with disabilities. Al’s job with Rush is 24/7 and many of our tenants have become like family to him. When Al came on board all those years ago, there was only Jimmy’s house and one other home. He has been with us through staff and director changes, the development of Victoria Ridge and Armstrong Place, and is the Project Manager for Old Forest Village, which will bring our total number of homes to 99!
