Kelli has spent most of her adult life, self employed. First, as a gardener, then combined her gardening skills with her husband, who built gunite swimming pools, for a complete backyard makeover.

About 7 years ago, she moved to Virginia and has absolutely loved her time here! In 2019 she opened The Hip Tulip, in downtown Lynchburg; a flower shop specializing in unique wildflower designs. Due to health reasons, she closed the shop last fall. However, being a small business owner and tending to the books for each of her businesses; she pursued helping few fellow small business owners, with their bookkeeping. In deciding the next chapter of her life, she was thrilled at the opportunity of working for Rush Homes. To work for an organization, that helps people find affordable housing, meant it wouldn’t be just a job, it would be a source of pride.

When not crunching numbers or being sat upon by her 90lb lap dog, she’s outside gardening, mowing, reeking havoc with some DIY project at her house, being creative in just about any artistic medium, shooting pool, reading good books or relaxing under the stars.
